We are searching for the best talent for Instrument Technician III to be in Cornelia, Georgia.

Job Summary

Maintains and improves status of equipment and components key to the manufacture and measurement of medical and other devices.

Performs calibration duties and provides support to manufacturing, packaging operations, and facilities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:


* Performs and coordinates the timely execution of routine and non-routine calibration activities associated with current general methods and procedures on production and facility instrumentation.


* Performs additional calibrations to include pressure, temperature.


* Evaluates and updates calibration standard operating procedures.


* Suggests and implements improvements to existing standard operating procedures for calibration methods and systems.


* Develops extensive knowledge of the manufacturing process and equipment operation to help to identify calibration needs.


* Ensures the calibration status of all measuring and critical manufacturing equipment.

Leads in establishing calibration and test methods for new and existing equipment.


* Verifies the completion of calibration test records.

Checks reports on calibration failures.


* Ensures that calibration activities are performed in a professional and efficient manner to minimize equipment and/or line down time.


* Acts as the field lead for contracted calibration technicians and ensures their quality and productivity is consistently high.


* Calibrate and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, chemical, electrical and electronic process controls and measurement instrumentation to approved procedures.
