Driver

Key Duties and Essential Functions



* Ensures the timely delivery for the transportation of materials and equipment for company projects and sales orders.


* Must have knowledge of proper flatbed load securement.


* Operates company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, in compliance with safety regulations.


* Maintains an accurate log of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.


* Ensures compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.


* Verifies workbook to ensure quantities and the types of packaging are correct 


* Perform all required DOT inspections before use of equipment.

Conducts regular vehicle inspections and schedules maintenance when needed.


* Loads and unloads trucks as needed 


* Inspects shipments for damage when unloading or loading and reports to Supervisor if there is a problem.


* Cleans and organizes work environment to comply with 5S and safety standards.


* Communicates effectively with project managers, suppliers, and logistics personnel.


* Follows safety policies to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.


* Reports inventory errors to Supervisor.


* Locates raw material and components in proper location.


* Prepares supplies (boxes, packaging, etc) for production and puts them on truck.


* Assists with inventory counts.


* Keeps all shelves and shipping and receiving area clean.


* Operates Forklift when needed.


* Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:



* High school diploma or equivalent.


* Must have a current, valid class C Driver’s license and must be insurable to drive a company vehicle


* Must have or be able to obtain a valid DOT medical card.


* 2+ years of related experience.


* Must have basic English language comprehension and reading skills.


* Must have basic computer skills and be proficient working with Microsoft office (Excel and Word)


* Able to identify different material and non-conforming parts.


* Problem solver: able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary.


* Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.


* Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels.


* Able to work overtime hours according to business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:



* Forklift certification


* Class A Driver's license preferred


* Driving experience, preferably in the piping or related industry.


* Experience working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


* Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks.

Hourly Range $18-$22 DOE
