The County of Riverside's Office of The District Attorney has an opportunity for an IT Systems Administrator III position located in Riverside.

This role will involve strategic planning, architectural design, security, cost optimization, and ensuring that cloud infrastructure meets both current and future business needs.

The selected candidate will engage in work related to infrastructure, Microsoft 365 administration, and assisting with the ongoing operational aspects of the Exchange Online E-mail environment.

The selected candidate will also act as a lead over important and ongoing technical projects.

Additionally, the incumbent will administer Windows servers and storage systems as well as monitor and troubleshoot system performance, providing solutions and recommending measures to improve or correct performance.

The IT Systems Administrator III is the lead level classification in the IT Systems Administrator series and reports to a supervisory or manager level position.

Incumbents in this class exercise a high degree of independent judgement, provide project oversight to subordinate staff, and perform the most complex assignments that require extensive knowledge and proficiency.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


* Hands-on experience with Windows AD directory, Group Policies, PowerShell, Windows Server environments, and Hyper-V.


* Hands-on experience with Entra\Azure administration (Exchange Online and OnPrem, Defender XDR Suite, Compliance, Endpoint Manager\Intune, One Drive, etc.).


* Demonstrated experience running System Center products.


* Demonstrated experience administering Windows servers as well as hands on experience with storage systems.


* Experience managing complex patching deployments of various systems.


* Understanding of system performance monitoring and actions that can be taken to improve or correct performance.
