INTERN - BUSINESS (Supply Chain)

Responsibilities

Altec in Duluth, MN is looking to fill an internship position for a Buyer/Supply Chain Analyst for the Spring 2025 session.

If you are currently a sophomore or upper classman looking for an internship in the Supply Chain or Buyer field, look no further!

Assist with daily responsibilities of buyer including but not limited to:


* Authorize payment of invoices or return of merchandise.


* May compare transportation options.


* Examine, select, order, and purchase at the most favorable price merchandise consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements and other factors.


* Interview and work closely with vendors to obtain desired products.


* Negotiate prices, discount terms and transportation arrangements for merchandise.


* Use computers to organize and locate inventory and operate spreadsheet and word processing software.


* Expedite components for faster delivery dates to meet production requirements.


* Perform purchasing and other recordkeeping duties.


* Purchase all components and services related to the manufacture of finished product, maintenance repair, and operations.

Basic Qualifications

Students must:


* be able to provide documentation stating that they are enrolled full-time in a college or university and in good standing.


* be at least 18 years of age.


* have completed a minimum of 24 hours of coursework or have earned sophomore class standing.


* maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
