Merchandising Coordinator

Position Summary: The Retail Merchandise role is responsible for supporting the planning, selection, and presentation of products in a retail setting to optimize sales and enhance customer experience.

This position ensures merchandise is effectively displayed, appropriately stocked, and aligned with sales trends and inventory goals.

The role plays a key part in executing merchandising strategies that drive revenue, maintain brand consistency, and meet customer expectations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
List the essential job duties that are specific to the position.

·        Research emerging trends, scout potential products, and make final decisions on items introduced into the retail showroom.

·        Develop strong partnerships that bring value, quality, and competitive pricing to our retail operations.

·        Redesign current retail areas to reflect updated retail concepts, layouts, and branding.

·        Tailor offerings to fit the specific needs and buying habits of each dealership’s customer base.

·        From sourcing and ordering to pricing, packaging, and display to ensure a smooth introduction into the showroom.

·        Monitor sales trends and use insights to make product decisions and exit underperforming items.

·        Ensure products are presented in a clean, compelling, and brand-aligned way.

·        Constantly explore new products, vendors, and retail innovations that will make a difference in our market territory.

·        Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Will accept experience in lieu of education.

Years of Experience Required: 2 to 5 years

Other Years:

 

 

Experience required in:

·        Experience in retail merchandising, product sourcing, or vendor management (automotive or commercial vehicle industry experience is a plus)

·        Strong sense of retail strategy and customer insight, especially in regional or specialty markets.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

·        Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, Other

Physical Requirement’s:

·        The ability to lift 25 pounds regularly

·        The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds

·        The ability to squat, bend or stoop on a regular basis
