Landscape Front Sales Counter Associate

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Work Schedule: 5 to 6 days per week, including Saturday.

This is a temp-to-hire with the eligibility of full-time permanent placement.

This position is eligible for Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act.

All employees may also make pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) contributions to our retirement plan – must be 18 years of age to participate.

JOB SUMMARY:

Goodwill Staffing is looking for someone who can work at the front sales counter for a landscape supply company. The ideal candidate will help customers with questions about materials, including mulch and rock for landscaping.

The candidate will also answer phones, provide pricing, and load and unload materials.

The candidate will be working inside and outside.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN THE LANDSCAPE INDUSTRY IS A MUST!!

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Assist customers with questions


* Answer phones


* Provide pricing


* Load and unload materials


* Be able to work in high pace environment 


* Set up deliveries


* Responsible for helping customers determine the best product for their need


* Determine how much product customers need


* Estimate load sizes to correctly charge customers for dumping items


* Other assigned duties

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:


* A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:


* Previous landscape experience is required.


* Previous landscape customer service or landscape sales counter experience is preferred.

Other:


* Must be able to work Saturdays during busy season.


* Must be reliable.


* Must be friendly and helpful.
