Overview

The Benefits Analyst is a customer-focused and analytical position supporting the needs of the Corporate Benefits Department.

The Benefits Analyst is responsible for monitoring vendors in the delivery of accurate and timely processing of associate transactions, ensuring associate data is current and accurate and maintaining continuity and successful delivery of benefit services.

Acts as the primary lead in the day to day oversight of benefits.

Travel to company properties across the US will be required on an as needed basis.

Job Responsibilities:


* Supports the delivery of benefits in accordance with plan rules and company policies for Health and Welfare and 401K program.


* Facilitates timely resolution of escalated associate benefits related issues.


* Provides technical research and interpretation of benefit plan provision and processes.


* Partners with HRIS and Payroll associates to ensure accuracy of employee data.


* Provides exceptional customer service to HR Business partners.


* Supports annual enrollment through setup, testing and implementation.


* Maintains required plan documentation, summaries, educational, and communications materials.


* Participates in annual renewal project which includes planning, communications, testing, rollout and ongoing administration.


* Assists in the setup and onboarding of newly acquired properties to the benefits plans.


* Supports administration of 401k plans including funding, compliance testing and auditing.


* Ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including ACA, COBRA regulations, and enhance reporting processes.

Stays abreast of federal, state and local compensation and benefits laws and emerging regulations.


* Administer and support leave of absence programs (e.g.

FMLA, STD, LTD, state and local leave) by coordinating with associates, managers, and third-party vendors to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.


* Consults with property Human Resources on their benefit needs and handles escalated property claims.


* Tracks and reconciles benefit plan invoices and addresses billing discrepancies.


* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:


* Bachelor's Degree required or equivalency of direct relevant experience.


* Prior experience in benefits in a growing business with multiple units.
