Forest River Park Welcome Center Staff - Salem YMCA

As a Welcome Center team member, you'll be the first point of contact for visitors and play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for all guests.

This is a great opportunity to build customer service skills in a fast-paced, community-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:


* Greet and assist patrons in a welcoming and professional manner.


* Handle check-ins, answer phone inquiries, and provide accurate information to guests.


* Process day pass sales, guest registrations, and handle cash/credit card transactions.


* Offer tours of the facility to new visitors.


* Maintain a clean and organized environment, including light upkeep of common areas.


* Address and resolve guest concerns, escalating issues to supervisors as needed.


* Assist in emergency situations by contacting 911 or designated emergency contacts, when necessary.

* Prior customer service experience is a plus

Qualifications



* Must be at least 16 years of age.


* Bilingual (Spanish/English or other language combinations) strongly preferred.


* Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.


* Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds and create a welcoming environment.


* Previous customer service or related experience preferred.


* Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn new systems.


* The Welcome Center is open Tuesday - Sunday from 9am to 8pm.
