Purpose:
This Technician role will support the R&D Prototype Development Team by contributing to efforts in expanding and improving new and current products through supplying R&D engineers with quality, custom machined prototypes for testing, desk top evaluation and surgical cadaver labs.
In addition, this role will support and design custom fixturing for machining a wide variety of unique components, support R&D engineers with feedback on machining processes to improve time to market initiatives, assist with the design for manufacturing process, and work within constrained timelines when required to deliver the necessary instruments for cadaver labs.
You will be responsible for:
* Checks equipment for appropriate operation within set parameters and refers abnormal results to leadership.
* Assists with regular internal quality audits to maintain and upkeep quality systems in compliance to established regulations and standards.
* Works with engineers to make cost efficient designs which are designed for manufacturability.
* Presents results to management.
* Works with engineering to develop timelines and products.
* Uses complex computer aided industrial design applications to produce complex tool paths for machine tools.
