Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Process Engineer in either Athens, GA, Raritan, NJ, or San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico.

JOB Summary

Provides process engineering and controls support plans and conducts activities related to the development of new processes including researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality, and capability alternatives, and performing process characterization and optimization using design of experiments, problem solving and decision making tools.  Provides technical expertise in troubleshooting, design, and construction of manufacturing processes, systems and equipment.  Plans, coordinates, documents, and implements all qualification and validation activities of new or improved manufacturing processes equipment and processes.  Ensures fulfillment of all regulatory, safety, industrial hygiene and environmental requirements for implementation of new products, processes, and equipment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:



* Conducts validation studies on manufacturing equipment and processes.


* Plans, coordinates, and implements all qualification of new and/or improved manufacturing processes and equipment.


* Performs validations, and project engineering activities for complete project or portions of major projects to optimize or transfer manufacturing processes.

Provides day-to-day troubleshooting and technical assistance to the site operations.


* Complies with J&J Safety Requirements and ensure safe working conditions and practices in the department.


* Develops, monitors, and effectively uses control charts and operational indicators, such as OEE, downtime, yield, and drives improvement actions as needed.


* Effectively manage resources allocated to assigned projects to meet quality, financial, EH&S, and product/process improvement targets.
