Summary - basic function of the role

The Manufacturing Engineer is an Engineer who has between 0-5 yrs of Fulltime experience.

You will play a crucial role in optimizing our production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing systems, as well as troubleshooting issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives at the Columbus manufacturing facility.

Shift: Monday - Friday; 7:00am - 4:00 pm

Job Duties and Responsibilities


* Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.


* Identify and implement improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.


* Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow diagrams.


* Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to equipment, processes, or materials.


* Conduct time studies, analyze production data, and implement lean manufacturing principles.


* Design and implement layouts for equipment and workspaces to maximize efficiency and safety.


* Select and implement new manufacturing equipment and technologies.


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure seamless production.


* Develop and execute validation and testing protocols for manufacturing processes.


* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process performance and identify areas for improvement.


* Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.


* Train production personnel on new processes and equipment.


* Prepare reports and presentations summarizing manufacturing performance and improvement initiatives.

* Understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, fabrication, controls, etc.
