About the Role: 

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to oversee all production activities in our Casthouse.

This role is crucial in ensuring that our high-quality products meet customer shipping and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:


* Lead Metal Flow: Direct metal flow throughout the Casthouse based on production needs, ensuring efficiency and precision.


* Safety First: Support, promote, and implement all EHS guidelines and practices to maintain a safe working environment.


* Quality Assurance: Oversee the process of safely casting and delivering top-notch products that meet all customer requirements while minimizing costs.


* Operational Excellence: Manage product flow from the furnaces to the casting units and finishing processes, ensuring seamless operations.


* Equipment Management: Lead the operation of various equipment and processes within the Casthouse, including troubleshooting with mechanical and electrical maintenance staff.


* Adherence to Standards: Ensure all casting and sawing practices and procedures align with quality system standards.


* Collaborative Leadership: Maintain strong relationships with other Casthouse supervisors, engineers, scrap coordinators, and production planners/shipping coordinators.


* Labor Relations: Handle labor relations on shift in accordance with company policy, including addressing grievances and discipline.


* Problem-Solving: Provide valuable problem-solving information to furnace operators and other shift supervisors to prevent off-grade production.


* Quality Audits: Participate in quality audits to continuously improve our processes.

What You Can Bring to the Role:


* Management Experience: Proven management experience within an industrial environment.

Knowledge of aluminum casting and downstream processing is preferred but not required.


* Educational Background: Minimum of high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.


* Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
