Continuous Improvement Coordinator
This role is structured around implementing continuous improvement initiatives in various manufacturing locations across the company. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments to align the company strategy with specific improvement projects. The Continuous Improvement Coordinator is responsible for identifying and implementing improvement initiatives, monitoring their effectiveness, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 30%.
Responsibilities: (Essential Functions)
1.
Evaluate existing manufacturing processes for improvement.
2.
Lead kaizen events using lean principles across company locations.
3.
Collaborate with departments to align processes and achieve business goals.
4.
Utilize statistical methods and performance metrics to enhance performance.
5.
Track improvement project status with location leaders.
6.
Assist location managers in developing processes and workflows.
7.
Implement cost-saving measures and quality control systems using LEAN techniques.
8.
Travel to North American plant locations to lead events.
9.
Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing and assembly issues.
10.
Develop/manage KPI’s and metrics and use them to drive productivity.
11.
Manage and lead quality improvement projects.
12.
Ensure compliance with safety standards for manufacturing processes, equipment, and products.
13.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization
14.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, & License Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or a related field
• Minimum of three years of experience in Continuous Improvement leadership role
• Experience leading and tracking kaizen events
• Experience aligning CI projects with business direction and strategy
• Proficiency in project management, data analysis, and problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodology is a plus
Skills & Abilities:
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and performance metrics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, hyperlinks, sorting and searching data)
• Ability to travel up to 30%
