Maintenance Technician II

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Maintains plant HVAC systems, Compressors, Water System, and physical facilities; constructs small areas and repairs facilities using carpentry techniques.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Under general supervision, follows established company policies and procedures and applies acquired job skills to perform maintenance on all plant systems.


* Maintains the operation, preventive maintenance, and repair of all HVAC; comfort control in all areas.


* Monitors, maintains, and repairs the water system.

Ensures vendor is performing RO/DI maintenance as per SOP.


* Performs plumbing, mechanical, and electrical repairs for all areas outside of the production areas.


* Performs carpentry, tile, construction, and repair.


* Responsible for following current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in performing above work.


* Maintains general housekeeping of working area and plant.


* Supports Production maintenance as required.


* Maintaining a good attendance record is an essential function of the job.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; and fumes or airborne particles. 


* The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
