As part of our expanding Global Engineering and Scientific consulting team, you will work at the forefront of today's most complex engineering challenges.
You will be engaged in analyzing failures of a myriad of products from a variety of industries , but with a heavy focus on large industrial facilities like power plants, Oil & Gas facilities, chemical processing plants, and similar .
Outside of that work, you will be engaged in automotive, consumer products, consumer electronics and medical devices.

Th is Director role will report to one of the internationally recommended experts and i s an all-encompassing role that incorporates the management of client assignments, proactively identifying and participating in networking, and eventually business development activities.

* Planning and leading failure analysis investigations
* Planning and leading teams performing laboratory tests
* C onducting field inspections
* Communicat ing with clients and counsel in all time zones
* Planning and a ssist ing with the preparation of expert reports
* Prepare for and attend depos , trials , mediations , and arbitrations
* Manag ing the day-to-day requirements of multiple engagements
* Develop positive relationships with colleagues, peers , and clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Requisite professional designations and work experience:
* PhD in M etallurgical Engineering with 5 + years of prior experience engineering consulting
* Alternatively, MS degree with 10 + years of prior experience in either or both industry and engineering consulting
* Preferred: additional licensure as a Certified Welding Inspector, Certified Welding Engineer, Professional Engineer, or other
* Preferred: extensive experience with codes and standards, such as ASME, AWS, API, AISC, or similar
