Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and preferably certified (PL-300 or DP-600) data analyst with a passion for solving problems with data and delivering data that is easily consumable for business users.

The ideal candidate is committed to continuous learning, staying up to date with new tools, concepts, and techniques in the data field.

They will excel at navigating stakeholder relationships, effectively bridging the gap between business needs and technical requirements.

Additionally, they will thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with Business Intelligence team members and other groups to build positive, solution-oriented partnerships.

On the Data as a Product team, you will further our vision of providing curated data sets and standardized reporting through self-service tools by doing the following:


* Gain familiarity with our tools, data sources, and processes


* Work with stakeholders to understand the needs for their area of the business


* Translate business needs into technical requirements


* Create solutions for business needs by developing data products (views, queries, semantic models, reports, etc) that are user-friendly and scalable, using SQL, Power BI, Fabric, and Excel


* Promote and support self-service usage of our team's data products


* Maintain, enhance, and discontinue data products across our catalog as needed

Qualifications


* Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related field (professional experience can substitute for education)


* At least two years of experience in a data analyst or related position


* Demonstrated experience using Power BI or similar tools to combine, transform, model, and visualize data


* Demonstrated experience using SQL to combine and transform data

Technical Skills


* Power BI Development - create user-friendly semantic models and design clean and intuitive reports with digestible and actionable visualizations


* Power Query - combine data from various sources and shape it to enable clean semantic modeling


* DAX - create necessary measures as well as implement powerful yet clean DAX code to address modeling challenges


* SQL - retrieve and wrangle data from multiple tables/views, utilizing joins, CTEs, window functions, and aggregation functions to deliver required data
