Basic Qualifications


* 5 plus years experience as a Heat Treat Process owner.


* BS in Materials Science, Metallurgical, Electrical, Mechanical, Ceramic, or Chemical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications


* Knowledge of vacuum systems, PLC, vacuum heat treat furnaces


* Knowledge of MS Office, excellent written and oral communication skills, able to work in a self-directed or team environment and have good organization skills.


* Working knowledge of statistical analysis and SPC


* Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Howmet Process Management a plus.


* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Primary owner of Winsted Special Processes (heat treat, welding, EDM, airflow, and shot peen) and equipment and conformance to customer requirements.

Maintain up-to-date accreditation (PW, AMS, BSI, GE NADCAP)

JOB FUNCTIONS


* Develop processes for all Special Processes (heat treat, welding, EDM, airflow, and shot peen) to conform to customer requirements.


* Ensuring the Special processes are performed in compliance with the methods, materials and equipment specifications as required for NADCAP Certification and as detailed in the BU manual, business operation, and customer requirements.


* Approve all new and revised instructions in the Special Process areas.
