As a trusted partner the role of the HRBP is to support the business to develop an inclusive, effective, highly motivated and high performing workforce.

This role will support the operational business and work closely with the Senior Operations Leadership Team and operational managers to drive improvements in colleague engagement, manager capability, improve people metrics and deliver HR projects which support the overall business and people objectives.

As a business with multiple contracts the role will be a key support for bidding, TUPE and contract mobilisation as well as managing manpower planning and subsequent consultation discussions.

The role reports into Operational HR but will work closely with centralised MAXIMUS HR functions -Recruitment, T&D, Engagement, Compensation and Benefits and HRBP colleagues in other divisions of Maximus UK.

Working with the Head of HR to implement and develop the HR strategy in key areas, focused on people management and organisational development.



* Working with senior management to ensure effective people planning, building a workforce with the structure and skills to achieve business objectives


* Driving key people metrics across areas of responsibility


* Working closely with operational leads to drive and champion engagement in each division


* Analyse data from annual engagement survey, drive action plans and develop solutions to themes and areas of improvement


* Partnering with central HR colleagues to develop effective resourcing, development plans to ensure attraction and retention of high calibre candidates


* Support the management team in promoting a culture of performance and operational excellence


* Conduct weekly or bi-weekly meetings with operational senior teams, driving key changes locally by providing pragmatic HR advice and coaching


* Responsible for identification of key trends in people metrics and data summary and working with Operations to drive action plans to drive improvements


* Deliver an effective approach to HR matters across the business, working closely with our outsourced HR Advisory service to ensure consistency of advice and effective management of ER cases in a timely manner reducing risk


* Have a real curiosity and desire to understand the business to formulate plans to ensure the HR function effectively supports the operational objectives, driving improvements in engagement, inclusion, competency, absence and attrition
