Flint Hills Resources is seeking a Paralegal to join their Legal Team!

Our Team

This role will report to Senior Counsel and be based at the headquarters in Wichita, KS.

What You Will Do


* Assist attorneys in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing legal documents, such as contracts


* Draft real estate agreements, such as easements, leases, and ROW agreements


* Prepare real estate closing documents and work directly with title companies


* Analyze real estate title matters, including property legal descriptions


* Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorneys


* Maintain and organize legal files, documents, and databases


* Coordinate and assist with document production and discovery processes


* Communicate with clients and external stakeholders in a professional manner


* Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Bachelor's degree OR High School Diploma with 2+ years of experience in a professional office environment


* Experience reviewing, drafting, and understanding real estate documents


* Experience using Microsoft Office Word and Outlook


* Experience in written communication and reviewing documents for accuracy, including correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.


* Experience managing multiple deadlines and prioritizing tasks

What Will Put You Ahead


* Experience in commercial real estate transactional work in a law firm, title company, business, or similar


* Experience drafting deeds, leases, easements, purchase & sale agreements, or title documents


* Experience independently initiating and successfully completing tasks with minimal supervision


* Experience performing jobs requiring analytical thinking skills


* Passion for research
