In this role you will operates stacker controls to ensure stacks are aligned and orderly. Prepares stacked units for banding, operates palletizing machinery and ensures quality of product. This role is based out of our facility in Kingston, Ontario.
As part of our multi-disciplined engineering team, the Electrical Designer is responsible for creating electrical/instrumentation design packages for site projects from concept to completion.
The Kingston facility spans over 240 acres on Carruthers Point on Lake Ontario.
As Canada's first nylon plant, we manufacture Nylon 6.6, polymers and fibers, including industrial yarns for airbags and industrial sewing thread.
Our large production plant has a broad range of engineering applications from the upstream chemical processes (reactors, distillation columns, extruders) to downstream spinning processes which use highly automated, mechanical systems.

What You Will Do
* Co-lead the development of detailed engineering designs in support of various project activities at the Kingston Site.
This includes detailed drawings (schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, etc.), P&ID's, equipment specifications, bills of materials, and scopes of work.
* Establish estimates for both capital projects and upgrades.
* Provide electrical and instrumentation support to all phases of project execution from front-ending through to completion, including engineering, construction, commissioning, and ongoing reliability and support to operations.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Technologist OR bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation or automation/controls
* Computer-aided design experience (proficient in relevant CAD software and Document management software)
* Experience converting conceptual designs into final design documents (academic or professional experience would apply)
What Will Put You Ahead
* Project Management experience
* Previous industrial experience
* Experience with Canadian/Ontario electrical codes and regulations (academic or professional experience apply)
