Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
* Operate primary and secondary crushing equipment to produce crushed stone, sand, and gravel according to specifications.
* Monitor plant operations to ensure proper material flow, gradation, and quality standards.
* Perform routine inspections of crushers, conveyors, screens, and related equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
* Adjust controls and settings to regulate material size, throughput, and production efficiency.
* Conduct basic maintenance and repairs, including clearing jams, replacing wear parts, and performing lubrication tasks.
* Communicate with plant supervisors, loader operators, and maintenance personnel to coordinate production and resolve issues.
* Maintain accurate production logs, downtime records, and equipment condition reports.
* Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and MSHA regulations.
* Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work area.
