ABOUT THE POSITION
The Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District has an opportunity for a Project Manager (Facilities Project Manager I) in Jurupa, Riverside.
The selected candidate will help with the development of project concepts, scope of work preparations, R equest for Proposals , bid evaluations, bid selection, lead pre-bid and construction meetings, and project management for the department.
The incumbent will also: assist in management of scope, schedule, budget and QA of various Park Projects; prepare status reports to Senior Park Planner/ Bureau Chief-Planning; assist in customer inquiries and requests; perform various administrative duties such as scanning of large format maps and construction plans and organizing of data, preparation of maps/ exhibits for projects, and database creation for trails, parks, open space and other Parks District owned properties.
Competitive candidates may possess GIS experience (Creating maps, database management), Intermediate knowledge of ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Bluebeam or similar products, a Project Management Certificate, and/or experience in the construction/planning field (employment, internships, etc.).
The Facilities Project Manager I is distinguished from the Facilities Project Manager II in that the latter is the fully qualified, journey level classification in the Facilities Project Manager series.
The Facilities Project Manager I is a natural progression underfill for the Facilities Project Manager II.
Incumbents are eligible to promote to Facilities Project Manager II after receiving a satisfactory performance evaluation and meeting the educational, experience and certification requirements.
Failure to meet the requirements to promote will result in incumbents either being returned to former County job classification or new hires being released prior to the end of their initial probationary period.
