is seeking an experienced and proactive Commercial Superintendent to lead high-profile commercial masonry, concrete, and restoration projects.
The superintendent will be assigned multiple projects of various size and complexity, with primary oversight responsibility and support of operations on his/her assigned projects. The Superintendent is the primary point of contact for the Project Foreman with respect to manpower, equipment, production, quality and safety; the Superintendent will also work hand in hand with the assigned Project Manager to insure proper start-up and execution of projects.
The Superintendent reports directly to the President and/or Director of Field Operations.   Â

Key Responsibilities
* Monitor internal start-up processes (e.g.
long lead materials orders, pre-construction meetings, scaffold plans, mock-ups) to insure consistent with schedule needs
* Initiate and supervise contract masonry mock-up and flashing mock-up to insure materials and detailing is approved in advance of construction
* Confirm that proper coordination information is being obtained by Project Manager and Job Foreman, from General Contractor and other trades to insure proper interface with masonry work
* Inspect quality and productivity through regular jobsite visits; address and timely bring to resolution with Job Foreman and Project Manager;
* Review Schedule of Values and draft progress billings, and schedule activities favorable to cash flow needs whenever possible
* Assist foreman and project manager at jobsite as necessary for layout and inventory reconciliation, and for explanation of details, plan changes and material orders;
* Inspect and address any observed safety concerns (e.g.
fall protection, scaffold stability, equipment audio/visual warning devices) during site visits; support Safety Director in insuring adherence to corporate safety policies and procedures

This is a hands-on outdoor position primarily focused on lawn and landscape maintenance.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For
* Previous landscaping, lawn maintenance, or groundskeeping experience preferred.
* Ideally 1+ year of hands-on landscape maintenance experience.
* Experience with commercial mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers, and similar equipment.
* Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
* Comfortable performing physical outdoor work throughout the workday.
* Able to work effectively as part of a crew.
* Valid New York State Driver’s License strongly preferred.
Candidates with slightly less experience may also be considered if they demonstrate reliability, a willingness to learn, and experience working in outdoor or labor-intensive environments.

* Plan, direct and supervise daily masonry operations, including manpower assignments, sequencing, layout, material flow and equipment utilization to maintain safe and productive operations.
* Direct personnel assigned to the project; monitor workforce productivity, quality and safety and adjust work assignments and crew organization as required.
