Primary Purpose:
A Sandblaster does surface preparation of titanium castings prior to and following chem milling parts using a material mixture of coarse sand and compressed air.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Uses sandblast machine to clean material surface.
* Moves parts (titanium castings) to various areas of the facility.
* Processes parts out of a dryer after chem milling.
* Handles paperwork to ensure documentation is complete and correct.
* Masks castings as directed by the Dimensional Inspection department.
* Assists with general departmental clean-up which may include sweeping and shoveling of debris.
* Be accountable for working safely by following all safety rules and safe work practices.
* Inventories supply items.
* Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
* Demonstrates ability to work safely and productively in a manufacturing environment.
