Job Summary
Oversee maintenance, development, coordination, design, and implementation of the job classification and Compensation activities in accordance with wage and salary decisions.
Participate in highly confidential meetings and discussions regarding wage settlements, employee reclassifications, and the creation of job titles and their budget impacts.
Manage and review the work and staff in classification and compensation to accomplish plans and results.
Ensure various Human Resources policies, guidelines, and regulations are being enforced.
Consult regularly with the labor negotiations team and leadership.
Oversee the drafting of job descriptions in accordance with established guidelines and criteria.

Minimum Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.
• Five (5) years of classification and compensation or directly related experience is required.
• Three (3) years of prior supervisory experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
•Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration or Industrial Organizational Psychology from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Responsibilities

* Work under the direction of the Center Manager and assist’s to ensure that the WIC program activities are in compliance with USDA, California WIC State Branch policies and procedures.
* Conduct needs assessments of WIC participants and the community populations by using the proper WIC data systems.
Review of risk factors, breast feeding rates and dietary practices/intake of the community served.
* Certify WIC participants: develop nutrition care plan, follow-up and document using WIC WISE.
Conduct quarterly individual WIC staff audits and group class observation as part of the quality assurance and compliance processes.
These reports should be reported and submitted in a timely manner.
* Evaluate Nutrition Questionnaire and provide dietary/nutrition counseling for all participants.
Assures all dietary risk codes are documented.

The Social Worker/Service Coordinator will be responsible for conducting a person-centered assessment to understand the needs of the residents and will develop and modify a resident's required services.
The position requires a knowledge of supportive services and other resources needed for the population of the community.
The Social Worker must demonstrate the ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve and provide results for the elderly and disabled served.
Minimum Qualifications include: B.A.
degree in Social Work or Gerontology, Psychology or Counseling.
Two to three years of experience in social service delivery with senior citizens and non-elderly disabled.
A demonstrated working knowledge of supportive services and other resources needed for the population of the community. Demonstrates the ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve and provide results for the elderly and disabled served.
