SUMMARY: Will assist in the day to day maintenance of community property.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.
1.
Troubleshoot and identify problems with electrical and plumbing systems.
Repair mechanical issues with said systems.
2.
Perform regular building maintenance and repairs, including mechanical systems.
3.
Solder copper pipes and perform advanced plumbing repairs.
4.
Assist Maintenance Engineer with major projects and repairs.
5.
Interact with suppliers and/or maintenance providers with troubleshooting and repairing major equipment.
6.
Assist other staff members with minor repairs to equipment and systems.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Three plus years in specialty trade such as A/C, Carpentry or Electrical work or equivalent and/or a combination of education and experience.
Possess an EPA License/Certification.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Medical Requirements: Must be willing to receive the influenza (flu) vaccination during flu season.

SUMMARY
Provides strategic leadership, direction, and development for the Retailer Claims Operations team, overseeing functions that include NorthStar system configurations, Transportation, Audio Exchange Program, Added Security, Warranty Analysis, and Vendor Recovery.
Ensures ongoing quality of services and deployment of staff to meet departmental objectives for quality and service levels.
Defines, reviews, and improves business processes specific to claims operations.
Clearly presents information through the spoken or written word, reads and interprets complex information, and communicates effectively with retailers, field staff, other department teams, and external contacts as needed relating to the functions of claims operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develops, manages, and reviews work of assigned staff and temporary employees.
Completes mid-year and annual reviews for staff, in consultation with Director - Service Operations and EV Strategy.
* Uses understanding of claims policies and procedures as a subject matter expert (SME) for retailers, the field, and other departments in order to resolve escalated questions and/or issues related to claim system processing and policy.
* Acts as a liaison to the Information Technology (IT) Department for day-to-day system needs and for upgrades and other initiatives.
Maintains responsibility for working with IT Department staff to define, test, and implement ongoing maintenance and enhancements, and to be a Claims Team subject matter expert for systems.
* Manages and approves Labor Rate, Parks Markup, and 3rd-Party Labor Time Guide requests.
* Manages audio head-unit exchange program and the associated vendor partners.
* Reviews and approves invoicing for Transportation, Added Security, and Vendor Recovery.
* Manages projects as assigned by the Director - Service Operations and EV Strategy relating to warranty extensions, system upgrades, process improvements, and other claims-related initiatives per business needs.
Collaborates with other managers within functional area on system issues, improvements, and upgrades.
* Analyzes and reports on claims data using statistical techniques; implements and maintains databases; identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends from the data; and maintains claims monthly reports including dashboards and other data.
Develops and maintains key performance indicators (KPIs) for areas.
* Addresses questions relating to claims functions from the field staff, Customer Advocacy Department (CAD), Parts, Field Quality Assurance (FQA), and other Subaru of America (SOA) groups along with North American Subaru, Inc.
(NASI) and Subaru Corporation (SBR).

SUMMARY
Serves as Subaru of America's (SOA's) Service and Quality representative in the SOA Field.
Travels to retailers on a regular basis to proactively monitor and investigate the product quality and effectiveness of product improvements.
Assists retailers with difficult diagnosis and repairs, provides training support, and assists the retailer in developing the retailer's technical staff.
Works in partnership with Zone, District, and SOA personnel including Field Quality Assurance, Techline, and the Customer Advocacy Department (CAD).
Must be comfortable with acting as the spokesperson/witness when needed on contested Lemon Law/warranty matters; prior litigation experience is a plus.
Market Coverage: Montana and Alaska.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Leads root cause field investigations to gather needed facts for engineering to resolve significant field technical issues, prepare quality reports, and keep detailed records that comply with Subaru of America (SOA) and government requirements.
* Leads Quick Response Activities (QRAs) in cooperation with North American Subaru, Inc.
(NASI) to investigate high priority quality concerns.
This includes determining what needs to get done using which resources, coordinating NASI team members and resources with retailers and customers for vehicle investigations, and leading investigation activities at retailers.
* Utilizes data analytics to support quality improvement activities and to research root cause/repair quality issues.
Interprets and reports data for necessary escalation.
* Provides expert advice, counsel, and technical assistance to retailer and SOA both in person and remotely to resolve wide-ranging technical vehicle issues.
* Reviews retailer pre-authorization requests for warranty claims over ten thousand dollars, or straight time or extra time requests over two hours.
Maintains responsibility for using judgment and technical knowledge to make case-by-case determinations while considering costs to the company and product/service quality.
* Educates retailer personnel to improve their investigative skills and diagnostic techniques using on-the-job training methods on diagnostic and repair processes and procedures.
* Counsels with and guides retailers with customer handling, customer satisfaction, and uniform business practices to avoid or mitigate Lemon Law, legal expenses, and financial losses as a result of consumer actions brought against SOA.
* Represents and provides testimony for SOA during arbitrations and/or court cases brought against SOA.
* Works with outside counsel and internal partners to negotiate in and settle aforementioned cases on site.
