The Insurance Platform Solutions Lead is responsible for end-to-end technical delivery of Duck Creek–based solutions across Policy, Billing, and/or Claims.
This role provides hands-on architecture and configuration leadership, owns complex integrations, enforces engineering standards, and mentors development teams.
The Lead acts as the technical authority for Duck Creek implementations, ensuring scalable, compliant, and high-quality outcomes aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
The selected candidate will be required to work a hybrid schedule (3 days in office/2 remote) out of our Dallas, TX, or Cincinnati, OH office.
No relocation assistance is being offered with this role.
Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:
* Own the technical design and delivery of Duck Creek implementations across Policy, Billing, and Claims modules.
* Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable Duck Creek product models, configuration patterns, and integration designs.
* Lead configuration and customization of: Policy lifecycle transactions, rating, underwriting rules, coverages, forms and tables.
Billing plans, invoicing, payments, and financial transactions.
* Lead design and implementation of enterprise integrations between Duck Creek and external systems (rating vendors, claims vendors, finance/GL, document management, data platforms)
* Establish and enforce quality engineering practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and release validation.
* Lead performance tuning, batch optimization, and high-volume transaction processing strategies
* Mentor and coach Duck Creek developers
* Other accountabilities as needed.
Technical Knowledge and Understanding:
* Familiarity with Agile methodology, CI/CD automation, and cloud-hosted environments (Azure).
Experience Required:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
* 8+ years in enterprise application development or delivery management.
* 6+ years of hands-on Duck Creek experience.
* 3+ years in a leadership or team lead capacity, guiding cross-functional or vendor delivery teams.
* Proven experience managing software delivery lifecycle for core insurance systems.

* Experience with Duck Creek OnDemand (SaaS) implementations.
* Headless Duck Creek / digital channel enablement.
