Lecturer – Civil, Environmental, and Ocean Engineering
The Department of Civil, Environmental, and Ocean Engineering (CEOE) at Stevens Institute of Technology seeks applicants for a 9-month lecturer position, starting in Spring 2026.
The successful candidate is expected to teach a broad range of civil engineering and/or environment courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Example courses include geotechnical engineering, groundwater engineering, transportation engineering, fate and transport of environmental contaminants, structural steel design, environmental chemistry of soils, reinforced concrete design, introduction to geosciences, advanced mechanics of materials, statics, and geographic information systems.
We seek applicants who are passionate about teaching civil or environmental engineering courses to undergraduate and graduate students in an inclusive environment.
Required Qualifications
* A master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
* A PhD degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering or a related field
* A record of pedagogical accomplishments and leadership in relation to graduate or undergraduate education
* Experience in advising undergraduate and master’s level students

Purpose:
This is an AmeriCorps Position within an AmeriCorps Program designed to build the capacity of rural communities in Fayette County, Pennsylvania by fostering sustainable economic development through tourism and small business support.
The program aims to reduce poverty by supporting local entrepreneurs, strengthening community partnerships, and expanding workforce development efforts in a historically underserved region of northern Appalachia.
Rooted in values of service and collaboration, the program seeks to empower communities to lead their own revitalization through innovation, resilience, and economic growth.
The AmeriCorps member will support Fay-Penn’s Partnerships for Appalachian Trails & Heritage (PATH) initiative by developing a regional branding and marketing strategy, coordinating outreach with local tourism stakeholders, and identifying workforce and business development needs.

This Electrical Inspector position is responsible for performing inspections at manufacturing facilities to ensure that products are being manufactured in accordance with established standards and specifications created by Intertek.
This position allows the employee to establish their own daily schedule and incorporates at-home inspection preparation with client manufacturing facility inspections.
