Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to help ensure our residents have clean clothing, linens, and bedding every day.
This role is essential to maintaining a clean, comfortable, and sanitary environment throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available for resident care and comfort
* Collect resident laundry daily and as needed
* Sort, treat, wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing and linens
* Label resident clothing items as needed
* Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms in a timely manner
* Inspect linens and garments for damage and remove worn or stained items from service
* Follow all sanitation, infection control, and laundry procedures
* Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and report shortages as needed
* Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
* Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance concerns promptly
* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry area
* Assist with housekeeping duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience
* High school diploma or GED preferred
* Previous laundry, housekeeping, or environmental services experience preferred
* Healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus
