JOB SUMMARY: Provide routine health monitoring for residents.
Provide residents and staff with emergency first aid.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster and its communities.

Meet and assess new residents for the Independent Living and the Residential Assisted Living areas.
Assess residents that are transitioning back into Independent Living from RAL.
2.
Respond to emergencies in Independent Living and other common areas of the campus.
Provide First Aid care for residents and staff.
3.
Complete wound care for Independent Living and RAL.
4.
Set-up and maintain appointments for both the Clinic and outside medical care for Independent Living residents.
Monitor blood pressure checks, labs and X-rays for IL
residents.
5.
Assist with Employee Health matters – PPDs, Vaccines, pre-employment drug screenings and Workers’ Comp related health concerns.
Maintain records of all tests performed on a yearly basis.
6.
Coordinate and maintain schedules for the physicians that visit the community’s clinic.
7.
Conduct weekly “Level of Care” meetings.
8.
Maintain current demographics of all the Independent Living residents (Face Sheets).
9.
Prepare and conduct monthly educational seminars on medications, maintaining healthy blood sugar levels and other health related matters.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Florida.
Must be CPR Certified.
CORE training helpful.
Experience and Basic Knowledge:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Must be familiar with long-term care of older adults and be able to function independently.
