Nemours (Wilmington, DE) is seeking a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse Resident to join our team in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit!!
DESCRIPTION
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of the Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware is a 24-bed unit in a Level 1 Trauma Center that provides care to the sickest pediatric patients.
Patients requiring care and surveillance in the PICU will have conditions and diagnoses which may include, but are not limited to, those producing acute and reversible loss of consciousness, respiratory failure, compromised air exchange, cardiovascular dysfunction, hepatic failure, hemodynamic instability, renal dysfunction, central nervous system injury or dysfunction, acute trauma and organ failure requiring transplantation.
Treatments or interventions performed in the PICU include measures utilizing advanced life support technology.
These include, but are not limited to cardiopulmonary resuscitation, tracheal intubation, ECMO, pharmacologic support of circulation, mechanical ventilation, point of care monitoring, CRRT, thoracentesis, and hemodynamic, intracranial pressure, intravascular monitoring.
Each patient room has electrocardiographic, pulse oximetry, respiratory, hemodynamic and intracranial pressure monitoring capability, as well as central EKG and respiratory monitoring.
Portable monitoring during patient transport is provided.
Special equipment includes radiant warmer beds, heating/cooling blanket systems, Mapleson manual ventilation system, end tidal CO2 monitors, ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring systems, intracranial pressure monitoring system, ventriculostomy systems, infusion pumps, blood warmer, continuous renal replacement systems, and peripheral nerve stimulators.
This Critical Care Department provides patient care, performs research, and educates and trains health care professionals consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Nemours Foundation.
The Pediatric Intensive Care Nursing Residency is a rigorous program consisting of a 6-month precepted program which includes both didactic and clinical experience, with an additional 6 months of didactic support.
The program is supported by a variety of learning opportunities and experiences.
Prior to beginning the PICU Nurse Residency in August, the selected candidate will begin as a PICU Nurse Extern working one-on-one with a bedside nurse and then transition into the Nurse Resident role.

Nemours is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (Casual/PRN), to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Wilmington, Delaware.
This Certified Pharmacy Technician position is responsible for providing Pharmacy Services within the Inpatient and Outpatient Pharmacy Department of the Nemours Children's Hospital, DE (NCH-DE).
The position is responsible for assisting in the preparation (including technical aspects of preparation) and delivery of all medications to patients.
This position is responsible for providing customer service to internal and external customers, working under the operational supervision of the pharmacist.
The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing and distributing medications.
* Performs various functions associated with the AIDHC drug distribution system and demonstrates familiarity with the general duties and responsibilities of a Pharmacy technician including knowledge, competency and understanding of the position to which he/she is assigned which may include: cart fill, Pyxis functionality, IV preparation (e.g.
syringes, admixtures, hazardous, continuous renal replacement therapy, total parenteral nutrition, etc.), unit dose packaging, filling outpatient prescriptions (data entry, third party processing, barcoding), unit inspections, oral liquid compounding, stock inventory maintenance and replenishment, code cart process, selling prescriptions at POS, delivery of prescriptions, and fielding phone calls
* Prepares accurately, through the proper use of equipment and techniques; individualized doses of sterile and non- sterile extemporaneous medication, in an appropriate container, labeled in an appropriate manner and stored at the recommended temperature.
* Medication Delivery.
Pharmacy products are distributed accurately, with the appropriate quantity and at the time the product is needed during hourly medication delivery and Batch delivery
* Inventory Control
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma required.
* One (1) year of Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
* Retail Pharmacy Experience preferred; Children's Hospital Pharmacy Experience preferred
* Certified Pharmacy Technician required (CPhT).
Must possess certification from either NHA (National Healthcareer Association ) or PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board).

The Swank Autism Center and the Division of Behavioral Health at Nemours Children's Health - Delaware (formerly Nemours/A.I.
duPont Hospital for Children) is seeking an experienced, evidence-based psychologist to join our team.
This position will focus on feeding evaluation and treatment, autism diagnostic services, and supervising trainees in working with patients and families from the larger Delaware Valley community.
The Swank Autism Center provides comprehensive evaluation and intervention support services for children up to age 21 years.
Our feeding services offer a person/family-centered, neurodiversity-affirming, interdisciplinary approach that includes behavioral strategies and parent-mediated support.
The psychologist will be part of a multidisciplinary clinical team who will collaborate with providers in developmental medicine, psychiatry, social work, applied behavior analysis, nutrition, and therapy services, as well as colleagues who are autistic and/or caregivers.

Nemours is seeking a Registered Nurse for our general pediatrics stepdown unit to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware.
This position is FULL-TIME, 72 hours biweekly, rotating shifts, with every third weekend and holiday rotation.
3 East is a surgical intermediate unit with a high population of patients requiring post-operative care for urological issues, traumatic injuries, and general surgery.
3 East also cares for patients with acute and end stage renal disease and patients requiring an intermediate level of nursing care due to their tracheostomy and/or ventilator needs.
Each patient room is equipped with oxygen, compressed air, and suction along with state-of-the-art cardiorespiratory bedside monitors and computers that enable the healthcare team to access a patient's electronic medical record.
The patient care complexity directly relates to the wide range of patient care skills required for this diverse patient population.
The goal of this unit is to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
The Synergy model is used in making appropriate patient assignments based on patient and family needs and nursing skill set.
