Job Description
This position is required to be part of Internal Control deparment in Finance.
The purpose is to provide support to the company within internal control and to ensure the controls are in compliance with the regulations (internal and external) and add the necessary controls to increase the effectiveness in all areas wihtin the company.
Responsibilities
* Support to complete the actual narratives & changes in conjunction with the areas and personnel involved.
Collaborate with the business areas to document and map their processes and identify risks and controls as such review control weaknesses.
* Full Scope Audit Coordination, including SOX controls encompasing an enhanced framework per enterprise standards and protocols considering operative controls ensuring risk mitigation.
* Perform preventive audits per business requirements and Internal Audit needs.
Review activities to improve productivity and savings.
* Ensure audit action plans are established, implemented and completed by all functional areas per Internal Audit commitments and recommendations.
* Reconciliation support to ensure these are complete and accurate within all documentation.
Create the annual reconciliation plan for QA reviewers as mandatory task per corporate requirement.
Track all reconciliations with opportunities.
Provide training to new users responsible for all account reconciliations.
* Prepare and coordinate onboarding sessions for Internal Control, SOX and other Compliance aspects.
* Coordinate REPSE compliance vendor files with supporting information required by new legislation since 2022.
This is a mandatory task to fulfill with Mexico labor regulations and new tax rules since 2021.
This supports AZ to avoid penalties and non deductible expenses.
(This activity is performed on external tool and implies a monthly tracking that is done directly with the vendors and users to obtain per vendor the complete defense in case of an audit).
* Cash shortage weekly calculation based on Mexico labor law limits to recover missing store cash from AutoZoners thru payroll discount by preparing and sending the cash missing file with final amounts to be discounted within the wage payment.
By doing this, a favorable EBIT impact is generated and bad practices at stores are reduced.
