The County of Riverside's RUHS Department is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II - Per Diem to support the Palm Springs Pharmacy.
Under the direction of the pharmacist staff, incumbents assigned to this class are responsible to help in the preparation and distribution of medications; and to do other related work as required.
This is the journey level class in the Pharmacy Technician series.
Under the guidance and supervision of the pharmacists, the technicians are responsible for the majority of the medication distribution and processing of prescriptions and medication orders.
Per Diem classifications are distinguished from regular classes in that they receive additional compensation in lieu of County fringe benefits.
Per Diem work assignments are flexibly scheduled or on an as needed basis.
Other essential duties include, but are not limited to, typing and filling prescriptions, assisting customers at the out window to process and sell prescriptions, and restocking shelves daily.
The role also requires close collaboration with team members and clinic staff to support efficient operations and enhance patient care.
Spanish bilingual proficiency is required for this position, and candidates will be expected to complete an exam as part of the hiring process.
