Your Role
The Chemical Engineering Intern will work closely with a research scientist and spectroscopist to support analytical testing and research activities, with a focus on FTIR and GC measurements.
This role offers hands-on experience in laboratory methods, data collection, and interpretation while contributing to ongoing research and product development efforts.
The intern will gain practical exposure to analytical instrumentation and learn how test results support technical evaluation, method development, and problem-solving.
Essential Tasks
* Assist a research scientist and spectroscopist with laboratory testing and analytical activities related to ongoing research and development projects.
* Support FTIR and gas chromatography (GC) measurements, including sample preparation, instrument setup, test execution, and data collection.
* Help analyze, organize, and document test results for review by the technical team.

Qualifications

The Division is comprised of a collaborative group of neonatologists and advanced practitioners in an all-referral, single-patient room NICU at NCH, offering a full range of services, including HFOV, HFJV, iNO, and whole-body cooling, with access to a comprehensive range of pediatric subspecialists, specialists in maternal fetal medicine and interventional radiology, and a full surgical program, including neonatal interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery.
ECMO services are provided in liaison with CICU.
