JOB SUMMARY
As an Automation Engineer at CPP, you will be responsible for designing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting PLC control systems in an aerospace investment casting manufacturing environment.
A strong background in ladder logic programming is required, and experience with robotics (specifically Fanuc and Kawasaki) and ignition programming is highly beneficial but not mandatory.
The ideal candidate will contribute to the efficient operation, optimization, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing systems.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance process efficiency, improve quality, and reduce costs, ensuring that CPP continues to meet the demanding standards of the aerospace market.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation systems to improve efficiency and consistency in the investment casting process.
* Program, configure, troubleshoot, and improve robotic systems, PLCs, and other automated equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
* Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLC-controlled systems, sensors, motors, actuators, and other automated machinery.
* Identify and implement improvements to automation systems to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize production processes.
Work closely with production teams to implement upgrades and process enhancements.
