Primary Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Front End Area Manager, the Wax Operations Specialist provides technical support to the Wax Molding and Assembly departments.
The Wax Operations Specialist will impact the quality, productivity and continuous improvement efforts in the aforementioned areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Write, develop and publish work instructions for all processes within the department.
* Research and compile data for continuous improvement and problem-solving activities, working with Process, Engineering, and Operations teams.
* Continuous review of production parts and processes to improve ergonomics, quality and efficiency.
* Assists in the development and conducts audits to measure department quality and improvement opportunities.
* Assist in the development and continuous improvement of progression training.
* Assists in root cause and corrective action problem solving as a functional expert.
* Assist in providing training plans to close skill gaps.
* Reduce process variation through technique and technology improvements.
* Strong presence in continuous improvement activities and the facilitation of these activities.
* Other duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
* Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with wax processes in investment castings.
* Proven ability to demonstrate process review and improvement opportunities in the wax department.
* Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Able to work independently or as a team with production employees, supervisors, managers and customers
* HS diploma or equivalent GED required, but candidates not meeting this requirement who possesses relevant experience will be considered.

Pacific Diagnostic Laboratories seeks a Certified Phlebotomy Tech (CPT) for their Central Processing department responsible for being the front-line public relations member of the laboratory team and needs to maintain appropriate professionalism in the work environment.
Under appropriate level of supervision, as required by regulatory agencies, the CPT assignments include: Phlebotomy, or other skin puncture technique, collection in patients of ages newborn to geriatric (including difficult to draw patients), processing of all types of specimens, operating Laboratory and Hospital Information Systems for data entry, receiving, batching and retrieval, managing the unreceived specimen list and unusual requests, providing client services, and limited operation of automated instrumentation.
Due to various work environments within PDL, use of a personal vehicle to travel between work locations may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
* Preferred: Associate's degree or two-year college equivalency.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
* Minimum: Current California phlebotomy certification.
* GVCH: Valid class \"C\" California Driver License and verification of acceptable driving record from the California Department of Motor Vehicles.
Technical Requirements:
* Minimum: Computer keyboard skills.
Must be able to achieve 90% or higher on Data Entry Skills Assessment within 9 months of hire and meet workflow productivity standards.
* Preferred: Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
Years of Related Work Experience:
* Preferred: Experience in obtaining blood specimens from neonates and pediatric patients.
