Maximus is currently hiring for a Medical Coder to join our NY State Arbitration team.
This is a remote opportunity.
The Medical Coder is responsible for completing retrospective reimbursement reviews which includes reviewing services rendered and determining a reasonable reimbursement.
They will make final determinations and craft a written determination letter that is final and binding.
The Medical Coder must be comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Audit medical records to ensure compliance with the Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment standards including abstraction and assignment of appropriate codes based on clinical data.
- Enter coded data into a system accurately and validate date entered.
- Research correct coding practices, clearly document and share findings with others.
- Write clear and concise rationales that provide defensible support of decisions.
- Train staff members on the coding processes (both project specific and general coding).
- Perform QA audits on coding process.
- Recommend and suggest improvements to assigned projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of experience, or AA with 2+ years of experience.
- Preferred risk adjustment auditing experience of coding inpatient and outpatient medical records.
- CPC, CCS, or RHIT Certification required.
- Ability to use critical thinking skills.
- Must have excellent writing skills.
- Ability to work a training schedule of 8:30am - 4:30pm EST Monday - Friday required.

* Enter prescription information including but not limited to: patient searches, prescriber searches, drug selection, prescription interpretation, insurance billing, and basic documentation.
* Accept customer and prescription information required to process new and refill prescriptions, including refill authorization from doctor offices.
* Retrieve medication from inventory.
* Create prescription labels and put them on prescription containers.

Taking care of patients is not a 9-5 job.

Maximus is currently hiring for a Medical Coder to join our NY State Arbitration team.
This is a remote opportunity.
The Medical Coder is responsible for completing retrospective reimbursement reviews which includes reviewing services rendered and determining a reasonable reimbursement.
They will make final determinations and craft a written determination letter that is final and binding.
The Medical Coder must be comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Audit medical records to ensure compliance with the Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment standards including abstraction and assignment of appropriate codes based on clinical data.
- Enter coded data into a system accurately and validate date entered.
- Research correct coding practices, clearly document and share findings with others.
- Write clear and concise rationales that provide defensible support of decisions.
- Train staff members on the coding processes (both project specific and general coding).

Maximus is currently looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our growing team.
This position is responsible for providing enrollment and outreach services to New York Medicaid recipients.
This is an onsite position is located at the LDSS/HRA office located in Upper Manhattan, NY.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Foster strong customer relationships, monitoring their engagement and progress.
- Collaborate regularly with customers to attain program goals and sustain eligibility for services.
- Conduct workshops and deliver various training services to customers.
- Demonstrate substantial program knowledge, assisting customers through multiple phases of the application process, from enrollment to benefit allocation.
- Aid customers in accessing services aligning with program objectives, including educational/vocational training, medical support, childcare, transportation, mental health services, legal aid, and related needs.
- Follow up with customers to ensure their needs are met and address any queries or concerns.
- Collaborate with team members, providing expertise and assistance in resolving participant issues.
- Maintain accurate and timely case notes for all customer interactions and document related activities.
- Share updates on outreach and engagement efforts with project staff.
- Report identified barriers hindering customer engagement with the Provider to project staff.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required and 0-6 months of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with MS office applications (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)

* Retrieve medication from inventory.
* Create prescription labels and put them on prescription containers.
* Place medication into prescription containers.
* Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and input customer and prescription data into the computer.
* Assist with maintaining the Pharmacy department by keeping it clean and in order.
* Assist in inventory management processes including order review, inventory returns, restocking shelves, and physical inventory preparation.
* Administer Rite Aid programs including FlavoRx, Living More, etc.
Taking care of patients is not a 9-5 job.
Our Pharmacy Technicians come into this role knowing that they will be working weekdays, weekends, evening shifts, and some holidays.
Because we work as a team, we all work together to be reasonably flexible to make all of our schedules work.
It is because of the friendly, team-oriented, and welcoming attitude of our Pharmacy Technicians that make Rite Aid the pharmacy of choice for our customers and patients and for our employees.
