The Nemours Neonatology team is looking for an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our expanding NICU in Wilmington, Delaware.
We will be expanding in 2026, adding 14 new inpatient rooms.
With this expansion, the NICU will house 45 beds as a contiguous unit.
Our shifts are rotating and will require holiday commitments.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) at Nemours Children's provide the best start in life for babies born too early or with medical problems.
Our NICUs are Level IV, which is the highest level of neonatal care.
Newborn medicine specialists, or neonatologists, take care of babies around-the-clock in this high-tech unit.
Pediatric surgeons and experts in every specialty have direct access to the NICU.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manages and provides care for the patient requiring neonatal intensive care utilizing collaborative consultation with team members, under the direction and supervision (but not necessarily the direct attendance) of an attending neonatologist.
* Receives a distressed neonate in the Delivery Room and initiates appropriate intervention.
* Performs a complete newborn physical examination and assessment of gestational age, discriminating between normal and abnormal findings.
* Conducts parent interviews and takes family history.
* Collaborates with neonatologists concerning pertinent historical events, physical findings, diagnostic and therapeutic measures initiated on all admissions.
* Orders appropriate laboratory tests and procedures.
* Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures necessary and appropriate for the care of the patient.
* Reviews and provides general care items involved in neonatal care, such as temperature stabilization, hyperalimentation therapy, feeding management, and phototherapy.

Nemours is seeking a Casual Medical Assistant in Jacksonville, FL.
This is a PRN (as needed) medical assistant (MA) position on the MA float team.
This position allows for skills growth and exploration within many of Nemours' specialty departments and clinics.
This position requires travel to multiple Nemours sites within the Jacksonville area, including our main downtown clinic, Fleming Island, Jacksonville South, and Nocatee.
Clinic work hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
The Medical Assistant is an important liaison between the patient/family, provider, and other care team members.
The Medical Assistant will coordinate patient flow, review charts and update with most current information, ensure the appropriate paperwork accompanies the patient to the room and enter pertinent history in the medical record.
The MA performs clinical procedures in accordance with divisional responsibilities, as directed by physician, and per protocol.
Essential Functions:
1.
Deliver excellent customer service to the patients/families and other care providers.
Focusing on family centered care.
2.
Demonstrates proficiency in entering radiology and lab orders as directed by physician and in accordance with approved protocols/standing orders.
3.
Room patients ensuring appropriate documents are with the patient, up to and including required diagnostic reports.
4.
Perform the following in accordance with divisional responsibilities, as directed by physician, and per protocol.
a.
Performing clinical procedures, to include but not limited to the following: i.
performing aseptic procedures ii.
taking vital signs iii.
preparing patients for the provider's care iv.
performing venipunctures and non-intravenous injections v.
observing and reporting patient's signs and symptoms b.
Administering basic first aid.
c.
Assisting with patient examination/treatment.
d.
Operate required medical equipment e.
Perform and collect routine laboratory specimens f.
Administering medication
5.
Perform office procedures including all general administrative duties as required (i.e.
scanning, filing, faxing).
6.
Act as a liaison between support services and other clinical divisions.
7.
Clean, prepare and stock exam, treatment and medication rooms for daily activity.
8.
Obtain authorizations according to the patient's insurance policy for any tests, therapies, DME, etc.

Act as a backup to other medical assistants as needed.

10.

Job Requirements
High School Diploma required.

The rehabilitation program at Nemours Children's Health has an opening for a Part-time, Occupational Therapist, to Join our dynamic interdisciplinary team.
This position services children and adolescents with brain injury, spinal cord injury, neuromuscular disorders and post-surgical rehabilitation needs within our CARF accredited comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation program.
Work schedule will be every Monday and Tuesday (8:30am-5pm) and every other Wednesday.

Provides occupational therapy patient examination, evaluation, intervention, documentation, parent/caregiver education, communication and coordination of care with medical/clinical staff and outside agencies as appropriate within the guidelines designated by the department and the Delaware Valley policies and procedures.
Maintains core competencies and any additional competencies determined to be necessary by the management team to ensure patient care needs are met.
