As an Automation Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Consumer and Community Banking, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.
You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities:
* Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
* Designs and maintains scalable test automation frameworks using Expresso (Android) and XCUITest (IOS)
* Integrates frameworks with CI/CD pipelines.
(e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions for continuous testing.)
* Writes, integrates, manages, and executes Gherkin scenarios using tools such as Cucumber BDD, Maven, Appium, Eclipse, IntelliJ, XCODE, and Android Studio, specifically for the Chase Mobile application
* Collaborates with product and design team to ensure mobile apps meet ADA accessibility standards and works closely with developers to triage and resolve issues quickly
* Identifies, documents, and tracks bugs using tools like JIRA, providing clear and reproducible steps
* Codes, test, and implements high quality Java/Selenium programs for automation of highly complex enterprise application system, running complex workflow engine and rich GUI, working as part of a global Agile team
* Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
* Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
* Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 3+ years applied experience
* Proficient in coding in programming languages and tools to write test scripts, such as: Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, React, Cucumber, Cypress
* Experience writing automation scripts using espresso and XCUI.
* Attention to detail and ability to meticulously document test results and defects in tracking tools, such as Jira
