Amsted Automotive (Transform Automotive Canada Ltd.), London, Ontario, is seeking a Controls Technician responsible for ensuring that all equipment controls; Programmable Logic Controller, Human Machine Interface, Servo Drives, Industrial computers, and all related software, hardware, communications methods and proto-calls are in proper working order, kept up to date and backed-up to the main server and laptops.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Adapt and promote lean manufacturing principals
* Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings
* Support the Company’s Goals and Objectives
* Development of engineered solutions to repetitive equipment failures and other maintenance problems: implementing ways of reducing the need for maintenance repairs and ultimately eliminating the occurrence of failures. Repetitive failures are identified, and the Preventive/Predictive Maintenance is refined by dynamic and relevant:

+ Analysis of equipment histories, maintenance cost reports, and failure reports

Amsted Automotive Powder Metal Division in Geneva, IL is seeking a 2nd shift Automation Technician to perform duties to set-up, program, troubleshoot, and repair automation equipment.
Shift hours are 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm.
The Automation Technician will work from instructions, prints and process specifications.
1.
Set-up all robotics and automation equipment in the plant.
This includes fixtures, conveyors, grippers, pin stamper, and brush set-up to meet process specifications required to run operation, and obtaining all necessary paperwork needed.

Give temporary inspection approval, pending full inspection approval on set-up prior to production run using robotic equipment.
3.
Monitor production runs for correct set-up, quality of parts, and stoppage avoidance.

Recommend and apply new automation applications and technologies in the plant.
