Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the relief operation of the rig, crew, and equipment and for ensuring customer satisfaction with all services rendered.
Incumbent ensures that all crew members are at the rig and ready to work at scheduled time and maintains productivity standards for all rig functions.
When the Relief Operator is not running a Rig, he/she is working on the crew as a crew member.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

What You'll Bring
* Commitment to Safety: A strong dedication to maintaining a safe environment—both physically and mentally—for yourself, your colleagues, and customers
* Valid Class A commercial driver's license with Tanker Endorsement
* Arvig certification on driving and operating the vac truck
* At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment, meeting the qualifications of a Heavy Equipment Operator II
* Experience operating equipment for underground utility construction
* Knowledge of One-Call
* Proficient with safely operating heavy equipment, specifically a hydrovac truck, around utilities, people, structures, and traffic

Primary Function
As part of our New Mexico team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of the growing Ardurra family in our Transportation and Site/Civil Engineering practices.
You will support our growth in New Mexico and a wide variety of exciting transportation and civil engineering/land development projects throughout the region.
You will independently perform a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard design engineering techniques for projects in our Transportation and Site/Civil Engineering practices.
The candidate must be capable of exercising independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to contribute to the project design.
This includes experience in utilizing various Civil Engineering computer software packages and automated engineering and design tools.
Assignments involve some unusual or challenging issues requiring job knowledge and abilities beyond entry level experience.
Primary Duties
* Lay out full plan designs, plan details and outlines, identifies quantities of materials, cost estimates, and performs calculations for a detailed segment of a project.
* Participate in the preparation of technical specifications for review and approval.
* Prepares technical reports.
* Performs field tests & measurements, collects field data, as necessary.
* Provides assistance and support to proposal teams or proposal managers.
* Preliminary supervisory responsibilities to Design Engineers.
Education and Experience Requirements
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university or college.
* 3+ years of related experience in engineering, and design.
* New Mexico PE (Professional Engineer) license.
* Local knowledge of agency requirements
* Experience preparing final design plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
* Excellent written, oral and verbal communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Self-motivating, team-oriented work practices, strong analysis and organizational skills.
* Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D drafting and design.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
