Student Help – Microbiology

Work Schedule:

15% FTE, part-time position, day shift.

You will coordinate schedules with other student help workers so there is a student in the microbiology lab 2-3 hours per day Monday - Friday.

Weekends are split between students so there is a student each weekend from 9:00AM - 3:00PM.

You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Student Help - Microbiology to:


* Support the lab by making reagents, stocking supplies, aliquoting reagents, filing and xeroxing while using proper laboratory techniques.


* Provide assistance to the team by compiling data for quality monitors and entering data into spreadsheets.


* Interact, communicate and assist with Clinical Lab staff as needed.

Qualifications



* Current student in a post secondary college or university Required


* Field of study related to department Preferred

Work Experience



* General customer service/ administrative experience or experience in field of study Required
