Infrastructure Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design and develop automated solutions for BIA platform engineering processes that include BIA platform build, integration with various peripheral systems, and maintenance activities.

Implement end-to-end automated solutions by applying modern engineering methodologies.

Guide the team to Work on 'Concept to Design' solution including process shepherding/documentation.

Work in distributed system architecture, design, development and end user experience.

Migrate on-premise Infrastructure to Cloud where necessary.

Tune applications to run with better RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective).

Responsible for security hardening, adopting firm wide Identity & Access Management, perform threat modelling and building resilient BI Applications.

Design process for periodic health check of the infrastructure and implementation of changes/vendor recommendations.

Research functionality and technical configuration within the BI systems supported by the BI Applications group and prepare recommendations for system improvements.

Develop and document effective new and existing operational procedures for BI infrastructure, BI Architecture, and business system requirements and provide recommendations and proposals.

Plan and implement new systems, optimize existing system resources, work on better system performance without scaling hardware infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Business Administration, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Cognos; Business Objects; Qlik; Tableau Server Installation, Administration, Maintenance and upgrades; Alteryx Server Installation, Administration, Maintenance and upgrades; MongoDB Installation, Administration, Maintenance and upgrades; working with Windows Server OS and LINUX/UNIX Operating Systems; Deploying Tableau Server on AWS; Setting up SSO (SAML or Kerberos or OIDC) for Tableau and Alteryx Servers; Utilizing SQL to perform analysis; Automating tasks using Python; PowerShell; and Shell Scripting.
