Medical Science Liaison

Ideal locations - Orlando / Miami  Tampa

Duties Required

-The Medical Science Liaison position is a field-based position within Medical Affairs reporting to the Associate Medical Director.

-Obtain and maintain full proficiency in disease state and product knowledge and serve as a credible and valued representative in a variety of interactions with key stakeholders.

-Provide balanced medical information for HCPs and address questions about safety and off label use of company products based on available scientific data.

-Establish scientific and clinical relationships with thought leaders and academic centers to engage in scientific exchange and maintain a reliable presence with those scientific leaders to ensure they have a medical contact within the company.

-Provide non-promotional educational programs for residency and mid-level training programs, community institutions and hospitals.

-Proactively and reactively coordinate customer facing educational activities.

-Assist in training and certifying new Sales Representatives.

-Conduct regular and extensive reviews of the literature, develop presentations and assist with publications and medical communications.

- Keep abreast of medical and scientific developments in assigned therapeutic area and proactively report competitive activities and events that can influence the use of company products.

-Actively participate in advisory boards, speaker training events, clinical investigator meetings and regional and national conferences when required.

- Adhere to corporate compliance in all activities, including those related to scientific interactions with internal and external groups

Requirements

-Advanced degree (M.D., Pharm.D.

or a Ph.D.); or clinical degree (NP, CNM) with previous MSL experience

-Women’s Health experience required

-Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated effectiveness to work cross-functional and independently

-Demonstrated effective presentation skills

-Demonstrated organization and time management skills

-Ability to multi-task

-Ability to be adaptable to changing work environments and responsibilities

-Valid driver’s license required

-Ability to travel >60%
