Mobile Application Developer I


POSITION SUMMARY
Molina Healthcare, Inc.

is searching for a Mobile Application Developer I for our Herndon, VA location to develop leading-edge healthcare mobile applications on iPhone and iPad designed for use with large volume, high traffic transactions.

You will work well independently and in a team environment, helping to grow our tablet and Smartphone application library, and extend into Android and Blackberry platforms.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience
Experience:
• 3+ years mobile application experience; 5+ years mobile application & healthcare exp preferred
• Experience working with XML, JSON, AJAX, JavaScript, and Web Services.
• Previously developed mobile applications, available in an app store and/or demonstrated during the interview process (non-commercial enterprise app development experience okay); Security implementation techniques (e.g.

encryption) preferred
• iPhone SDK experience (including XCode); Android SDK experience preferred
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript
• HTML5/JavaScript/CSS3 knowledge a plus
• Familiarity with Microsoft platforms for integration purposes (.Net, IIS, SQL Server, BizTalk, Visual Studio)
• Ability to work closely and collaboratively with other strong, intelligent technologists
• Strong OOP and software design abilities
• Expert-level multi-device application development knowledge
• Deep working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Understanding and appreciation for Agile development methodologies
• Passion for software development and OO Design
• Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to work with huge data sets and massively high user load
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Works with distributed team in the design and development of a mobile application framework supporting mobile application and mobile web application development.
• Creates mobile applications, from concept stage to delivery, for iPhone & iPad, and extends into Android or BlackBerry as the need arises.
• Participates in the creative process of mobile application design.
• Works with product management to gather and analyze requirements.
• Keeps up on technology trends regarding mobile computing and application development.
• Designs, develops, tests, and deploys mobile apps to meet documented requirements and integrates with commercial products as needed.
• Estimates effort required for upcoming tasks and projects and completes work by agreed-upon deadlines.
• Interacts with senior leaders and team members to discuss requirements, explore solutions, and demonstrate functionality.
• Represents the organization in a positive manner as a prime contact for vendors and contracts.
